Older and finished completely smooth, this Stanwell Flame Grain estate pipe from the Registry Era has been well loved and smoked hard.  The chamber was found to have significant charring and has been coated with sodium silicate though the side panels are thick enough to never be an issue.  The stampings are well worn though still legible and there is some darkening along the inner rim.  Despite all that the draw is smooth and there is little doubt that this bent elephant's foot, even with its worn logo on the stem, is still a fantastic smoker with a long life of satisfaction in its future.
